Kara Scott's Biog

Kara Scott, originally from Northern Canada has been living and working in the UK for the past few years and has featured in television, film and radio for the British and international markets. She came to Poker Night Live through filming the Backgammon series ‘High Stakes Backgammon’ and although she hadn’t been involved in either Backgammon or Poker previously, she’s now been bitten by the gaming bug the way so many around the world have been! Following her work with John Clark and the Backgammon legend Paul Magriel in Monte Carlo, she met up with Paul again in Cannes and competed alongside him in the World Championship Backgammon Doubles tournament, losing only to the team who went on to win top prize.

As an actor, Kara is currently filming in a lead role opposite Danny John-Jules (Red Dwarf/Blade2) in the new British feature film "Sucker Punch" and she has also completed work as a futuristic Thai-boxer in the martial arts feature "Team1" starring the Raymont twins from hit trilogy "The Matrix".

Kara also channeled her love of the martial arts as the lead presenter and then as associate producer for three seasons of Channel 5's "Now is the Time: Night of Combat" a weekly sports show which features Kick and Thai-boxing. As well as working in front of the camera, Kara is an experienced producer having worked on terrestrial television, documentary and on the feature film "Sucker Punch", and is currently in development on a television series for UK terrestrial television.
